Shear line to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Cagayan Valley, 4 other areas


The shear line will be affecting the eastern section of northern Luzon on Saturday while the easterlies will affect the eastern sections of southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, and Mountain Province will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Bohol, and Davao Oriental will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
