Southwest Monsoon to bring scattered rain showers over NCR, other areas

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is currently affecting the western section of Luzon and will bring scattered rain showers on Sunday over the National Capital Region and other areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

NCR, Cordillera Administrative Region, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Zambales, and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may result during times of moderate to heavy rains.

The rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.

Coastal waters will be moderate in the seaboards in the western section of Luzon, and slight to moderate elsewhere in the country.
