LPA, Habagat to still bring rains across the country

By GMA News

A low pressure area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will continue to bring rain across the country, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said the LPA was located 40 kilometers east northeast of Itbayat, Batanes at 3 p.m.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA/Habagat.

This could cause flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The wind speed forecast for the western section of Luzon will be moderate to strong, moving in the southwest to south direction, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough, ranging from 1.2 to 2.8 meters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speeds moving in the southwest to south direction with slight to moderate coastal water conditions, ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters. — Mel Matthew Doctor/VBL, GMA News
