LPA, Habagat to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of the country

A low pressure area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring rains over several parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.

Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, the LPA was located 320 kilometers west of Dagupan City at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Visayas.

Flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains, according to PAGASA.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for the whole country will be light to moderate, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:41 a.m. on Sunday. —Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
