Yellow rainfall warning up over Occidental Mindoro, parts of Palawan due to Habagat

PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning on Wednesday morning over Occidental Mindoro and the Calamian and Kalayaan Group of Islands in Palawan.

This is due to the heavy rains from the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The rainfall warning was hoisted at 6 a.m.

Under PAGASA's rainfall warning system, areas under yellow rainfall warning will have heavy rains measuring 7.5 to 15 mm rain in one hour which may continue in next 2 hours

"FLOODING IS POSSIBLE in low-lying areas and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas," PAGASA said.

The weather bureau advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned to take appropriate actions, monitor the weather condition, and await the next advisory. —KG, GMA News
