Habagat to bring rain showers over Ilocos, NCR, rest of the country

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect Northern and Central Luzon on Monday and will bring rain showers over several areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

The Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The National Capital Region (NCR) and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Habagat and localized thunderstorms. PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, with waves possibly reaching up to 4.5 meters.

The seas will be slight to moderate meanwhile in the rest of the country.
