Easterlies, ITCZ to bring rain showers over the country

The easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting the southern part of Mindanao will bring rain showers over the country on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and the ITCZ. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, with waves possibly reaching up to 2.8 meters.

As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
