Easterlies will affect eastern Luzon and Visayas; ITCZ over southern Mindanao —PAGASA

The Easterlies will be affecting the eastern sections of Luzon and the Visayas while the southern portion of Mindanao would be under influence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, the state weather bureau said Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes in Luzon would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Easterlies.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and the ITCZ.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

The wind speed forecast for northern and eastern sections of Luzon is moderate moving northeast to east, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough, ranging from 1.2 meters to 2.1 meters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speeds moving east to northeast with slight to moderate coastal water conditions, with waves ranging from 0.6 meters to 2.1 meters high. —LBG, GMA News
