LPA, ITCZ to bring scattered rains over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao

The low-pressure area (LPA) off General Santos City and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to bring scattered rain showers over the province of Palawan and the Visayas, and the Mindanao region on Friday.

State weather bureau PAGASA said the ITCZ and the LPA may spur cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Quezon, and the southern portion of Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.

The state weather agency warned the public against possible flash floods and landslides in affected areas due to the rainfall.

Forecast winds in extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate to strong while the coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds, meanwhile, may blow over the rest of the country, to be accompanied by slight to moderate waters.

The minimum temperature on Friday was monitored at 6 a.m. at 24.6°C while the maximum temperature was at 30.4°C at 1 p.m.

Sunset will be at 5:24 p.m.—Sundy Locus/AOL, GMA Integrated News
