Shear line, Amihan to bring rains in Luzon

The shear line or the tail-end of the frontal system and the northeast monsoon (Amihan) will spur rains across Luzon, according to weather bureau PAGASA on Friday.

Based on PAGASA's latest weather forecast, cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the northeast monsoon while the shear line may bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in the Cagayan and Isabela.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms may prevail over Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Southern Palawan, Eastern Visayas and Caraga caused by the easterlies.

The localized thunderstorms, meanwhile, may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds may be felt in Luzon, PAGASA said. It may be accompanied by moderate to rough coastal waters. The rest of the country may experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters.

Minimum temperature was monitored at 6 a.m. at 24°C. Maximum temperature was 32.7°C at 11 a.m.
