Trough of LPA to bring scattered rains over eastern sections of Visayas, Mindanao


The shear line will be affecting Northern Luzon on Thursday while the trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) will affect the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Catanduanes, Albay, Masbate, and Sorsogon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The Northern Luzon will experience strong wind speed moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
