Amihan to affect parts of Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon, PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 4 p.m. forecast, the state weather bureau said Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains and possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains, although no significant impact is expected.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and localized thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind speeds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Light to moderate wind speeds will prevail over Mindanao, along with slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 6:14 a.m. on Sunday. — Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA Integrated News
