LPA trough, Northeast Monsoon to bring rains throughout the country

The trough of a low pressure area and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains and rain showers throughout the country on Monday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region may expect cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides in areas prone to these hazards.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

The rest of the country on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards throughout the country, with waves possibly reaching up to 4 meters tall.
