LPA's trough to bring scattered rains over Visayas, parts of Mindanao

The trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao while the northeast monsoon or amihan will similarly affect Luzon, PAGASA reported on Tuesday.

Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the amihan with no significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of LPA and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

In the Visayas and in Mindanao, wind speed will be moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
