LPA trough, Amihan to cause rains over several areas

The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) affecting Visayas and Mindanao, and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) affecting Luzon will bring rains over several areas on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Visayas, Mindanao, and the southern portion of Palawan including Kalayaan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough or extension of the LPA.

Flooding or landslides may result due to moderate to heavy rains, PAGASA said.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan.

Moderate to at times heavy rains may cause flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the monsoon.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough over the seaboards throughout the country.
