LPA to bring scattered rains, thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, parts of Luzon

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) located east of Davao City and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains over several areas on Tuesday, according to PAGASA's weather forecast.

Visayas, Mindanao, Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA.

Flooding or landslides may result due to moderate to heavy rains.

At 3 a.m. Tuesday, the LPA was estimated to be located 705 kilometers east of Davao City.

Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Quezon, Aurora, Marinduque, and the rest of Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao, meanwhile, will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Sunrise will be at 6:24 a.m., sunset at 5:43 p.m. BAP/KG, GMA Integrated News
