A rainy weekend may be experienced across the country due to the shear line and the northeast monsoon (Amihan), state weather bureau PAGASA reported Friday.

Based on its 24-hour public forecast, the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms in Eastern Visayas and Caraga.

The Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon and Bicol Region and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Forecast winds will be moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
