LPA to bring rains over Palawan, Bicol Region, Visayas, Mindanao


A Low Pressure Area and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will bring cloudy skies and rains over several parts of the country on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.

Palawan, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA, with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

At 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the LPA was estimated to be located at 280 kilometers southeast of Davao City.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains also due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The wind speed forecast for the Visayas and the rest of Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
