LPA, Amihan to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains in Luzon, Visayas areas — PAGASA

A low pressure area (LPA) and northeast monsoon or Amihan will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains in the areas of Luzon and Visayas, the state weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday.

Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, the LPA was located at 660 km east of Davao City.

Caraga and Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Norte will have cloudy skies with rains due to Amihan with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao and the southern portion of Palawan will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to Amihan.

Meanwhile, Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong wind speed forecast moving northeast direction while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.

Mindanao, on the other hand, will experience light to moderate wind speed forecast moving northeast to north direction while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.—Richa Noriega/AOL, GMA Integrated News
