Cloudy skies, rains to prevail over parts of the country due to shear line, Amihan — PAGASA

The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

According to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Quezon, and Northern Samar will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

PAGASA cautioned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with rains due to Amihan with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, it added.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, it added.

PAGASA said the wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas will be moderate to strong moving northeast direction while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.

It added that Mindanao, on the other hand, will have a light to moderate wind speed forecast moving east to northeast direction while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate. — Richa Noriega/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
