Shear line, amihan to bring rain over various parts of Luzon

The northeast monsoon or amihan will bring rain over various parts of Luzon while the shear line will bring rain showers over some areas of Luzon and Visayas on Saturday, PAGASA reported.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains also due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
