Shear line, Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over several areas

The shear line affecting Visayas and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) affecting Luzon will bring rains over several areas on Monday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon may expect cloudy skies with rains due to the monsoon. Floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the Amihan.

The rest of Mindanao meanwhile may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas, with wave heights possibly reaching up to 4.5 meters tall.

The seas will be moderate to rough as well in the eastern section of Mindanao, with waves up to 4 meters high to be expected.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate meanwhile in the rest of Mindanao.
