Amihan, shear line to bring rain over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The northeast monsoon or amihan and shear line will bring rain over Luzon and the Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

Eastern Visayas and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains also due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern and eastern sections of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wins speed moving in the east to northeast with moderate to rough coastal waters.
