Amihan, localized thunderstorms continue to spur rains over parts of the country

Rains will continue to prevail in most parts of the country due to localized thunderstorms and the northeast monsoon (Amihan) according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin on Wednesday, PAGASA said Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains in Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate at times heavy rains, the agency warned.

Amihan is forecast to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Meanwhile, Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Forecast winds in extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country will be moderate to strong with moderate to rough waters. The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
