Amihan, localized thunderstorms to continue to bring rains across Philippines

Rains will continue to prevail over the country due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said on Thursday.

According to the state weather bureau's 4 p.m. bulletin, Amihan continues to affect Luzon and will bring cloudy skies with rains over the Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

Flash floods and landslides are possible in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Amihan will likewise bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. No significant impact is expected in these areas.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions are forecast for extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions are expected for the rest of the country.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila on Friday at 6:22 a.m. — Sundy Locus/VBL, GMA Integrated News
