Amihan to bring light rains over Metro Manila, rest of Luzon

Light rains will continue to prevail across parts of the country due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and localized thunderstorms, the state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

Based on its 24-hour weather forecast, the localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan, with possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA also said Amihan continues to affect Luzon and is expected to cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of the island group.

Moderate to strong winds, accompanied by moderate to rough coastal water conditions, are forecast for extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will be experienced in the rest of the country.
