Amihan to affect most of Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and localized thunderstorms will bring cloudy skies and rain showers across the country, PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast issued on Saturday.

Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to Amihan, but no significant impact is expected.

The wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country is moderate to strong, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 6:22 a.m. on Sunday. — Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA Integrated News
