Trough of LPA to bring scattered rains over Visayas, Mindanao


On Valentine's Day, the Trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring scattered rains over Visayas and Mindanao while the northeast monsoon or amihan will be affecting Luzon, PAGASA reported.

Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Palawan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains due to northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon is strong and moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.

The eastern section of country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
