Trough of LPA, Amihan to bring scattered rains over parts of the Philippines
The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will be affecting Luzon on Wednesday, according to PAGASA's weather forecast.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA. Flash floods or landslides may result due to light to moderate with at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon. Light to moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon but with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
