LPA, amihan to bring rain over parts of Philippines


At 3 a.m. on Saturday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 285 kilometers east Southeast of Davao City as the northeast monsoon bring rain over Luzon, PAGASA reported.

Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Bicol Region, Romblon, Marinduque, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao and the rest of MIMAROPA will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the LPA and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

The wind speed in Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to north direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters remain moderate to rough.
