Amihan continues to bring rains over Luzon — PAGASA

Rains will continue to persist over massive parts of Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), PAGASA reported in its 4 p.m. forecast bulletin Wednesday.

According to the state weather bureau, the Amihan continues to affect the region and will trigger cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.

Flash floods and landslides are possible in these areas due to the rainfall, it added.

PAGASA said the Amihan will likewise bring partly cloudy to at cloudy skies with light rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. No significant impact, however, is expected in the affected areas.

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said.

PAGASA said moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough waters will prevail in Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience light to moderate forecast winds and slight to moderate coastal waters, it added.
