Rains to prevail over Luzon, Visayas due to Amihan

Moderate to light rains will persist over a large swath of the country as the northeast monsoon (Amihan) continues to affect Luzon and Visayas.

Weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday said Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon as well as partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains in Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and the rest of Visayas.

Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line while the localized thunderstorms will trigger partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Mindanao.

Flash floods and landslides are possible over the affected areas due to the rainfall, the weather agency said.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters continue to prevail over the country, it added.
