Amihan to bring rain over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The northeast monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies and rain over parts of Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

Eastern Visayas, Sorsogon, and Masbate will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the northeast monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, the rest of Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, and Oriental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with rains also due to the northeast monsoon and with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains still due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters remain moderate to rough.
