Light rains expected in Metro Manila, parts of Luzon due to Amihan

Light rains may prevail in Metro Manila and several parts of Luzon over the weekend as the northeast monsoon (Amihan) continues to affect the region, weather bureau PAGASA reported Friday.

Based on its 24-hour public forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with rains are forecast over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, and Oriental Mindoro while partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains are expected in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to Amihan.

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against flash floods and landslides due to the rainfall.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough water may be experienced over the country, it added.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila on Saturday at 6:11 a.m.—Sundy Locus/LDF, GMA Integrated News
