Philippines to have cloudy skies, rains due to shear line, Amihan


The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will bring cloudy skies and rain showers across the country, the weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday.

Caraga and Davao Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Visayas, and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains due to Amihan with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for the rest of the country will be moderate to strong, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.—Richa Noriega/LDF, GMA Integrated News
