LPA trough to trigger rains over Mindanao

The trough or the extension of a low-pressure area (LPA) will bring scattered rain showers across parts of the southern Philippines as it continues to affect the Mindanao region.

According to state weather bureau PAGASA on Monday, the trough of the LPA will trigger cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Caraga and Davao Region.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned flash floods and landslides may occur in the affected areas due to the rainfall.

The highest temperature was recorded at 2 p.m. at 32.7°C while the lowest temperature was 24.4°C at 6 a.m.

Light to moderate forecast winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will be experienced over the country.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday.—Sundy Locus/AOL, GMA Integrated News
