Northeasterly surface windflow to affect parts of Luzon

The northeasterly surface windflow will continue to affect Northern and Central Luzon, according to weather bureau PAGASA on Saturday.

Based on the 4 p.m. weather forecast, Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region will experience cloudy skies with rains.

Eastern Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, Surigao del Norte, and the Dinagat Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of a low pressure area.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Central Luzon and the rest of Northern Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas is moderate to strong, moving northeast, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds moving northeast to northwest, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:47 a.m. on Sunday. —Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA Integrated News
