Easterlies, localized thunderstorms to bring isolated rain over parts of the country

The easterlies will continue to affect the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The forecasted heat index for Metro Manila ranges from a minimum of 40 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 43 degrees Celsius.

The highest heat index is expected to be felt in Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte with 45 degrees Celsius.

The heat index is the measure of the temperature that a person feels in contrast to the actual air temperature.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon is light to moderate moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
