Frontal system, southwesterly surface windflow to bring rains over several areas

A frontal system affecting Extreme Northern Luzon and the southwesterly surface windflow affecting parts of Luzon will bring rains over several areas on Tuesday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with rains due to the frontal system. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region, Cagayan, Apayao, Zambales, and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwesterly surface windflow. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwesterly surface windflow and localized thunderstorms. There may be flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
