ITCZ to bring rain showers across PH —PAGASA

An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao, and localized thunderstorms will bring rain showers over parts of the country this Saturday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In a weather advisory, the weather agency said that Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result, PAGASA warns.

Meanwhile, as of 3 p.m., a Tropical Cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is being monitored by PAGASA. It was estimated to be at 2,525 km east of Northeastern Mindanao with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h and gustiness of 80 km/h.

The coastal waters will be slight to moderate. —LBG, GMA Integrted News
