Trough of LPA to bring rains over parts of Luzon

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro because of the trough of a low pressure area, PAGASA said in its early Saturday morning forecast.

At 2 a.m., the LPA was spotted 445 kilometers west of Pag-asa Island in the West Philippine Sea. It is not expected to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Southwesterly Windflow will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM.

The rest of the country will see localized thunderstorms.

Winds and coastal waters will be moderate in Extreme Northern Luzon. For the rest of the country, winds will be light to moderate along with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila was at 5:47 a.m. Sunset is scheduled for 5:39 p.m. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
