Typhoon Tino to dump rains over Luzon, Visayas areas

Typhoon Tino will continue to bring rains over parts of Luzon and the Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA said.

As of 3 a.m., the center of Tino was estimated over the coastal waters of Taytay, Palawan, with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 165 km/h. It is moving west northwestward at 15 km/h.

Meanwhile, PAGASA continues to monitor a tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, spotted 1,830 kilometers east of Southern Mindanao.

Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro will experience stormy weather conditions with possible flash floods or landslides due to heavy to intense with at times torrential rains brought by typhoon Tino.

The typhoon will also bring gusty winds and moderate to heavy and at times intense rains over Romblon and Western Visayas.

Metro Manila, Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as a result of the trough of typhoon Tino.

Eastern Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
