Maynilad said the water interruption stemmed from the increased turbidity of raw water at the Laguna lake due to the northeast monsoon or amihan. This situation prompted the water utility company to reduce water supply to clients to they can clean its treatment plants.

Maynilad announces water service interruption for 16 days in selected areas

Maynilad Water Services Inc. on Tuesday bared that there will be water service disconnections in selected areas from December 7 to December 22 to give way to cleaning activities due to water turbidity in Laguna Lake, based on a "State of the Nation" report.

In its advisory, Maynilad announced that the water service interruption will be from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the following affected areas:

Bacoor, Cavite

Molino II
Molino III
Molino VII
Queens Row Central
Queens Row East
Queens Row West
San Nicolas III

Las Piñas

Almanza Uno
Pilar
Talon Singko

Water services are also suspended from 12 noon to 12 midnight in these areas:

Bacoor, Cavite

Molino III
Molino IV

Imus, Cavite

Pasong Buaya I
Pasong Buaya II

The residents in the following areas will also experience service interruption from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

Las Piñas

CAA
Manuyo Dos
Pamplona Uno
Pamplona Dos
Pamplona Tres
Pulanglupa Uno
Pulanglupa Dos
Talon Uno
Zapote

The following barangays in Muntinlupa will experience water interruption from 10 a.m. up to 12 midnight:

Alabang
Bayanan
Poblacion
Putatan
Tunasan

Maynilad also informed customers in Parañaque on water interruptions from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.:
