Canceled flights for Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 and Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018

Some flights scheduled for Friday, September 14, and Saturday, September 15 have been canceled due to Typhoon Ompong.

In an advisory, Philippine Airlines (PAL) said it has canceled the following flights in view of the existing current path and strength of Typhoon Ompong:

September 14, 2018

  • PR 2935: Clark - Virac
  • PR 2936: Virac - Clark
  • PR 2482: Tagbilaran - Seoul (Incheon)
  • PR 2688: Clark - Basco
  • PR 2689: Basco - Clark
  • PR 2614: Clark - Tuguegarao
  • PR 2615: Tuguegarao - Clark

September 15, 2018

  • PR 2196: Manila - Laoag
  • PR 2197: Laoag - Manila
  • PR 2198: Manila - Laoag
  • PR 2199: Laoag - Manila
  • PR 2688: Clark - Basco
  • PR 2689: Basco - Clark
  • PR 2614: Clark - Tuguegarao
  • PR 2615: Tuguegarao - Clark
  • P2483: Seoul (Incheon) - Tagbilaran

“We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates should other routes be affected,” PAL said.

“Heavy rains are expected in Northern and Central Luzon as well as the National Capital Region throughout the weekend until Monday,” it said.

PAL is encouraging affected passengers to check the status of their flights within 48 hours before scheduled flight departure.

Cebu Pacific said affected passengers are strongly advised not to proceed to the airport. Instead, they can rebook their flights for travel within 30 days from the original departure date, or place the cost of the ticket in a Travel Fund for future use, or get a full refund.

“Passengers of cancelled flights may rebook within 30 days from original travel date, with rebooking service fees waived. Other options include flight rerouting and refunding of ticket cost,” PAL said. —VDS/BM/BAP, GMA News
