Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge now closed for reconstruction

Motorists were advised to take alternate routes after the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge connecting the cities of Makati and Mandaluyong was closed early Saturday, according to a report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali.

The bridge was closed by authorities at 4 a.m. to give way to reconstruction work.

From two lanes, the bridge will be widened to four lanes.

Reconstruction work will take two years.

Authorities also advised motorists to allot more time for travel due to the alternate routes to be taken. —KG, GMA News
