DOTr: Free train rides for Filipino seafarers

The Department of Transportation  (DOTr) is celebrating the Day of the Filipino Seafarer by offering free rides.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2019 Filipino seafarers can ride for free at the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT -2).

In order to avail of the free ride, seafarers just have to present their Seafarer's Identification and Record Book (SIRB) or MARINA ID to the ticket seller or Security Personnel at the station.

The schedule for the free MRT-3 ride is from 5:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. while the schedule for the LRT-2 is from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. — BAP, GMA News
