MMDA: Number coding lifted for Monday, August 12, 2019

The number coding scheme will not be in effect on Monday, August 12, 2019, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

On its official Twitter account, the agency replied to netizens’ queries about whether the unified vehicular volume reduction program (UVVRP) would still be in effect on Monday, which is a regular holiday in commemoration of Eid'l Adha.

"The Number Coding scheme is lifted for Monday, August 12, 2019," the MMDA said.

This means that vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 will be allowed on EDSA and other Metro Manila streets from the hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday.  — BM, GMA News
