Number coding in Quezon City lifted for Monday, August 19, 2019, a non-working holiday

The number coding scheme will not be in effect in Quezon City on Monday, August 19, 2019, though it will still  be enforced in the sections of EDSA and C5 within the city, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

On its official Twitter account, the agency replied to netizens’ queries about whether the unified vehicular volume reduction program (UVVRP) would be in effect in Quezon City on Monday, which is Quezon City Day.

"Lifted/Suspended po ang coding bukas sa QC August 19, 2019. Except lang po sa QC na part EDSA at C5. For more information kindly call QC Traffic Hotline 122," the agency said in its Twitter replies.

Quezon City Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of President Manuel L. Quezon, is a non-working holiday. — BM, GMA News
