PAL to resume Manila-Calbayog flights on April 22


Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will resume its flights from Manila to Calbayog, Samar and back starting April 22.

In a statement, PAL said flights to Calbayog is scheduled every Thursday at 9 a.m. from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.

Meanwhile, flights from Calbayog to Manila is scheduled at 11 a.m. on the same day.

Flights from Manila to Calbayog and back will be available every Thursday and Sunday starting on July 4.

PAL will also offer thrice a week flights on the said route starting October 5. These flights will be scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Currently, flights between Manila and Calbayog are only offered to Locally-Stranded Individuals (LSIs), Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR).

Travelers who will avail of the flights are required to present a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before their entry in the province.

Passengers will not be required to undergo quarantine unless they exhibit symptoms of COVID-19.

Certificate of Coordination or Acceptance will also be required for travelers who may need it as a requirement from their point of origin.

Travelers will also undergo triaging in  Sitio Talahib, Brgy. Trinidad upon arrival in Calbayog. —Hana Bordey/LBG, GMA News
