LRT2 resumes normal operations after catenary problem disrupted ops

Operations of the Light Rail Transit - Line 2 (LRT2) went back to normal on Monday, August 1, after a catenary problem disrupted train operations on Sunday.

"LRT-2 will resume its normal operations from Antipolo to Recto today, August 1, 2022 at 5:00 AM," the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said in a tweet.

As of 6 a.m. Monday, there were seven trains running with headway of 12 minutes.

The LRT2 had limited operations on Sunday due to a broken catenary wire between the Legarda and Pureza eastbound stations.

Trains only ran from V. Mapa to Antipolo and vice versa on Sunday. —KG, GMA News
